Meet The Owners
Lifelong residents of Madison Georgia, Ollie and Barnard Rivers attended and graduated from Morgan County High School and got married in 1985. For many years Ollie was a stay home mom and homemaker. After her desire to own her own business she attended the Bronner Business Institute where she studied business management, marketing, and related support services. After graduating from BBI, she became the proud owner of Madison Monuments. To gain the expert skills and merit to run a successful monument business. Ollie earned her certification from the Elberton Granite Association.
Barnard worked for the Atlanta Gas Light Company for 36 years. There, he gained experience in the use of heavy equipment, pinpointing geographical territories, environmental safety and regulatory guidelines, as well as supervisory and customer service skills. He retired from the Atlanta Gas Light Company in June 2020 and has committed his time to serving his community by performing cemetery restorations and headstone installations.

As members of the Monument Builders of North America (MBNA) The Rivers' are working to help Georgia families celebrate life in the most honorable way available. Ollie and Barnard’s top priority is bringing families closure after the loss of a loved one. Their life’s mission is to help grieving families build legacies, create memories and celebrate life for generations to come.
